MMC COVID POLICY
We have been 'See It Safely' approved
We have been granted the use of Society Of London Theatre & UK Theatre's 'See It Safely' mark. The mark certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences.
The MMC understands that as restrictions begin to ease customers may be anxious about returning to a full auditorium for the first time since the pandemic began. We want to assure you that the safety and comfort of our customers, staff and performers is of paramount importance to us. So we would like to reassure you that we will continue to apply our safety measures throughout the autumn season and beyond by following government advice and guidelines.
Below we have listed some frequently asked questions but if you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact Reception on 0116 2304877 or email email@example.com
Will I be required to wear a face covering?
There are no longer any requirements to wear face coverings in theatres. Sh
Will I need to socially distance around the building to avoid crowding?
Although we are now operating at full capacity inside our auditorium, out of courtesy to others, we ask that you continue to leave as much space as you reasonably can between yourself and other customers when moving around the venue. This is to ensure that we keep crowded areas to a minimum. You may be asked to take a different route around the building compared to what you may have been used to in the past.
What additional cleaning measures have you put in place?
We are making sure all high contact surfaces are frequently cleaned, that the venue is thoroughly cleaned after every performance and we have hand sanitiser stations available throughout the venue.
Do I need to check-in to the NHS Covid-19 app?
Audiences will be able to check-in via QR codes placed within the foyer and entrance using the NHS COVID 19 app when you arrive and we strongly encourage you to do so.
What ventilation do you have installed?
The MMC’s ventilation system delivers fresh air into the auditorium and ensures that no air is re-circulated from inside the venue. We will also look to increase the flow of fresh air by opening windows and doors where possible.
Will you be offering a bar service?
The venue will be offering a bar service and we encourage audience members to pre-order interval refreshments with our team at any of our bars to minimise queues during intervals. We will be asking audience members to queue 1m apart and, although we can accept cash payments, we would encourage contactless payments.
Is there a cloakroom?
Unfortunately, we cannot currently offer a cloakroom facility and would politely ask that bags are kept to a minimum.
What should I do if I show symptoms or am required to self-isolate?
We ask that anyone who is presenting symptoms of COVID-19, or who have been instructed to self-isolate, should not visit Mountsorrel Memorial Centre for your planned performance. Please contact Reception by phone or email at least four hours prior to the show and we will refund the ticket.
What should I do if I start to show symptoms after visiting Mountsorrel Memorial Centre?
If you, or a member of your party, begin to present symptoms of COVID-19 after your visit, you should get tested and self-isolate as soon as possible. Please contact the Box Office via email firstname.lastname@example.org telling us when you developed symptoms and the show you attended. If you receive a positive test result, NHS Test and Trace will be in contact with you to discuss where you have been to recently and people you may have encountered. They will then follow this up and advise on next steps.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the performance start time. This gives you time to purchase a refreshment and make your way into the auditorium.
I am keen to purchase a ticket, but I'm worried about the risk of a future lockdown. Will I lose my money if this occurs?
Should any national or local Government measures be put in place preventing a performance from being undertaken, we can guarantee that you will not lose the value of any of the tickets purchased for the affected performances. If we can no longer present a show, audiences will be offered a transfer to a re-scheduled date at no charge, a credit voucher for the full value of the booking, or a refund.
