Live in The Hill 62 Bar Montys Travellin Music Show International.
What brings this wonderful set of musicians together including three Leicestershire guys ,
a Frenchman and a German together ?
Well the answer has to be music man John Montague after all his years of playing, producing and collaborating with many musicians both in the UK and a far.
John had been working with Cherbourg French Multi Instrumentalist Thierry Guillemot for around 20 years both in the UK and France. Leicestershire folk will remember Thierry as he lived here for a few years in the late 90’s .
Also John had been working with the brilliant guitarist and music producer from Bielefeld Germany Marten Alex Rolf. After introducing Melton Bass player Keith Brooks and the fantastic Alex Warwick on drums from igenisis to the other guys, the friendship, chemistry and musicianship just instantly blended. Hence Montys Travellin Music Show International was born.
For the show at Mountsorrel Memorial Hall In November the band will have another Bielefeld top bloke JP Fair as special guest. JP is an incredible Singer and performer who also pundits on German TV on major horse riding events in his other life.
So come and enjoy six outstanding musicians who are dear friends without egos presenting and performing a musical journey including originals, finely crafted original songs with re arranged classic covers also with a tribute to the songbook of Neil Young by Thierry. It’s a rare opportunity to see these guys playing together in the UK.
